All-4-One still got soul for days!
90s American pop/R&B outfit All-4-One returned to South Africa on Friday, 10 March at Grand Arena in Cape Town and Saturday, 11 March 2017 in Johannesburg. Backed up by Cape Town-based band, Top Dog, the gammy-award-winning foursome made up of Tony Borowiak, Jamie Jones, Delious Kennedy and Alfred Nevarez, took fans on a romantic trip down memory lane, performing some of their all-time-favourite hits such as I Swear and I Turn To You.
“We didn’t bring our band, because we were told that Cape Town has some amazing musicians. These guys have been the most amazing and professional band, they have really gone the extra mile for us.”
In true boy-band style, they melted hearts when they decided to sing a few hits acapella-style.
“You could have been doing anything with your Friday night, but you chose to be here and for that we do not only want to say thank you to each and every one of you, but for that we’re truly grateful. We’ve had such a wonderful time here,” they said.
Local pop stars Mujahid George, Robin Peters, and Tebogo Louw were the stellar opening acts.Louw, who rose to fame on SA Idols in 2016 was hand-picked by All-4-One, after they spotted him singing online.
